Rules of Student Apartment

1.Obey the laws of the People’s Republic of China and the rules of Tohee Students Center.

2.Make payments according to the schedule. Before moving to the apartment, students should see whether the room facilities are arranged. Students must tell apartment staff timely if discovered lack of items, or else it will be treated as lost.

3.Keep the room clean and do not interrupt other roommate's study or rest. Students who disobey this rule will be expelled from the Tohee Students Center.

4.Be alert and pay attention to safety at all times. Make sure that you take care of your valuable possessions and documents. When you leave the room, please close the windows, and if you are leaving for a long period, please turn off the electricity and gas.

5.No objects should be burned in the apartment, and cigarette butts etc should be disposed properly. If a student is found responsible for a fire accident through negligence or otherwise, they will have to pay compensation fees and be responsible under the law.

6.Keep the common areas clean, refrain from making markings or writing on the walls and do not keep personal possessions in common areas. Do not throw rubbish , food or bottles out the windows. No pets.

7.Refrain from shouting ,drinking, knocking or hitting walls and doors and playing loud music.

8.Keep the furniture and walls in the room clean, and do not damage the structure of the room. If a fixture is damaged you will have to repay its original value. If there is no way to identify the responsible party, all the resident of the room are responsible for the payment.

9.No parties or gatherings can be held without permission. Collective religious gatherings are not permitted. Gambling , drug abuse and other illegal activities are also forbidden. Guilty parties will be punished according to the law.

10.It is not permitted to swap rooms, or to accommodate others or let the room to others. Offenses will lead to expulsion from the apartment and the room fees will not be returned.

11.If you will leave Tohee for a period of time, please notify our staff. We will check the condition of your apartment. Otherwise, Tohee is not responsible for any loss of any kind or any damage to any property.

12.If you lose your keys to the apartment, please inform the reception in time. If not ,you will have to be responsible for any losses by yourself.

13.The normal check-out time is from 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. If you want to check out earlier or later, please inform us one day in advance. When moving out of the apartment, the keys must be returned. Items in the room will be dealt with as rubbish.

14.We will post notices if there are normal maintenance work needs to be done inside the students room (eg.air- conditioning, plumbing, fire extinguishing systems etc). At the appointed time, the staff will enter the room whether or not the students are in the room. In case of emergency (eg. fire, medical emergency, terrorism etc) apartment staff will enter the rooms without giving the notice to the students. At all times at least two staff will enter the room.

15.It is forbidden to install electrical wires, use microwaves or easily flammable appliances in the room. If discovered, the apartment staff may take the appliances. If a student is found responsible for an incident, they will have to pay compensation and will be responsible under the law.

16.Take good care of public property. Use water heater, network facilities, public cookwares such as kitchen appliances and equipment rationally. Demolition, alteration, transfer or damage to the facilities and articles are not allowed, the offender should compensate according to the price, and are imposed to certain fine.

17.Students who disobey these rules will be warned depending on the degree of severity. For serious infractions, students will be expelled from the apartment and room fees will not be returned.
